Summer nights

Bed is occupied. Lights are off. Windows are closed. Doors are locked. An outrageously loud buzz comes from the ceiling. An attempt to ignore this by shutting eyes tighter. Unbelievably, a louder buzz. Bedside light is on. Moth is spotted, furiously attempting to drill a hole through the ceiling. Newspaper is rolled, bed is stood on. Whack is attempted followed by a second whack. Mattress shifts, balance is lost. Face is on floor. Moth is silent. Moth is searched for. Moth is not found. Bed is tidied and entered. Light is off. Buzzing recommences. Repeat ad finitum.
